Wootten St Lawrence Path

Hampshire has lots of these hidden paths and byways. It's pleasing to walk along here in 2022 and not meet another soul. Would this have looked the same two hundred years ago? I like to think so. Although relatively untouched by the modern world, if you walk to the sunlit tree in the photo and turn to look east, Basingstoke's skyline is clearly visible. I keep my eyes ahead...
