Your car

If you're taking your test in your own car, check everything before you set off for the test. When the examiner asks you to check the lights (or anything else), if they aren't working, you have about three minutes to sort it out! If you can't, it's the end of your test. So make sure everthing does work, just in case.

Of course, if you are using your intructor's car, they are responsible.

Show Me, Tell Me Questions

Clio - under bonnet At the start of your driving test, the examiner will ask you a couple of easy questions about safety checks you should make on your car. The hardest thing you might have to do is open the bonnet, to point something out. At present, if you answer incorrectly, you will not fail the test. A "driving error" (minor error) will be recorded.
